1. Issues of drinking water availability and quality in the southwestern U.S:
The water shortage is severe in the southwestern states. Over recent years drought have reached critical levels, threatening agriculture as well as urban life throughout the Southwest region. This present situation southwest facing is exceptional for its high temperatures and are most severe in the history. Environmental concerns will limit additional transference from rivers. Higher temperatures, early spring warming, decreased surface water all these contribute to an increase in wildfires in the Southwest region.
Colorado river is most important and is often the lifeline of the arid Southwest, starting from the mountains in the north and makes it way through California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Colorado river is supplying 40 million people in these states. West has undergone population explosion and the increase in demand isn't going away because cities from San Diego to Denver continue to expand and entire Southwest needs to remain dependent on California.
In my opinion the only solution for this water crisis is reduction in water usage. Extensive conservation and efficient measures will be needed and irrigation methods are to be improved. The government should take measures to control climate change if people want to have reliable water supplies. Technical innovations and latest market solutions are needed which increase water supply and reduce demand.

Answer: Climate change is defined as sudden change in temperature, precipitation or wind in any particular region lasting for an extended period of a decade or longer. Our planet earth is warming up and experts are given indicates that consequences will be even serious. As complete contrast to venus there is mars which hardly display any greenhouse effect.
The KEELING CURVE might be the most famous plot of global climate data. It is a graph that plots the ongoing change in concentration of carbon dioxide in earth's atmosphere. The average concentration of CO2 in atmosphere has steadily increased over years. Basically GLACIERS are very sensitive to temperature. The only factor that explains glaciers melting all around the world during the end of ice age is the RISE in greenhouse gases.
Before millions of years ago earth's oceans maintained stable acidity level. Recent studies over the last few years have demonstrated that ocean carbon dioxide levels have risen in response to increased carbon dioxide in atmosphere, leading to increase in acidity and decrease in pH. To be honest carbon dioxide in the water puts shelled animals at risk. METHANE is one major greenhouse gas, methane initially reacts with ozone in a chain reaction which ultimately produces carbon dioxide and water vapour. These are some of the major issues of climate change.
