Business Ethical Conduct:

Ethics used in the performance of buisness activies that focuses on what is right,just and fair based on decision made daily in the workplace.

Businesses are not people. A business has a direct responsibility to its shareholders first and foremost. There is a distinction between personal ethics and business appropriate behaviour. A person in the position to make decisions that affect the company's buttom line will make a decision that is appreciate for the business within the culture of that business.

The decision may not be entirely ethical, but it will be appreciate for that business. When personal and business ethics overlap, it is a happy coincidence that the business goals are in line with decision-makers ehthcs. The moral minimum is the lowest level of socially expected behaviour incompliance with the the law.

Corporate social responsibility pairs duty-based concept with outcome-based concept in an effort to create a good citizenship business model that has a commitment to making ethical decisions, improving society, and minimizing environment impact.

Duty-based Ethics

Duty-based ethics are derived from philosophical reasoning. Any act that is unethical regardless of the circumtances is in violation of duty-based ethics. Until law that is unethical is repealed oor deemed to be invalid, it carries the weight of justicr for panaltied because it is a valid law regardless of its negative affect on society.

For example- there is a law on the books that allows girls from the age of thirteen to legally marry in pennsylvania. This may seem to be an auethical law because people in the U.S. do not reach the age of majority until they are eithteen year old. Minors do not have the legally capacity to make the decision to marryuntil they are eighteen except for law in pennsylvania.

Citizens in the state of Pennsylvania are duty-based to obey that law until it is repeated through the legislative progress.

Outcome-based Ethics-

Outcome-based ethical standards relly on the greatest good for the greater numb. This type of ethics take into consi costs and benefits aand creates as a ratio from those number and decides what level of loss is justijustifiable compared with the level of success.

A code of ethics is a firm's principles of the ethical behaviour expected of its employees set writing.
