Question
Present day Nawga differe from their ancestors and each other. in other words, nawgas have changed (evolved) over time. is it chance that nawgas in different environments, living different life styles have differences? some nawgas live deep in caves emerging. others are nocturnal, jungle dwellers. indicate which you think (describe the characteristics) are night dwellers and which are cave dwellers.could you predict which species have unpleasant odors and what, if any, the function might be?
could you offer an explanation for some having a noxious taste and indicate what species they might be?
Explanation / Answer
You asked a lot of questions about the Nawga. I'll try to cover all of them.
is it chance? of course not - it's evolution. those who are the most fit for their environments survive & pass their genes onto their offspring.
however, the process of evolution is "chance" in the sense that you can nenever pre-determine which characteristics will be passed on - DNA combination is a random process.
could you predict which species have unpleasant odors and what, if any, the function might be? the weakest organisms; the odors would ward off their potential predators from attacking them.
could you offer an explanation for some having a noxious taste and indicate what species they might be? if the Nawga is prone to being eaten, having a noxious taste will indicate that it is poisonous and will keep potential predators from eating it. For example, if I lick a nawga and it tastes noxious, I won't eat it because it's a) disgusting , which indicates that it's b) poisonous.
It's a form of protection. :)
