First there are no grains on them. Then the grains are formed in a fine texture, in the next the grains are turned into medium and then to coarse and then to crystalline textures. Fractures are also developed.

2. When it comes to phyllite it belongs to the third category of rock named metamorphic rock. We can see the laminar structures. This is process between slate and schist. Where in schist is also a metamorphic rock which contains grains that are coarse in size.

3. There are two reasons for this. One is the pressure which is acting in the rocks and the other is the parent rock. Here on all the rocks, the pressure is same and moreover it is in the same direction. And the parent rock is same for all of them.
