This week we are looking at the procedure that governs a civil litigation case. Such cases can be extremely expensive (consider how many steps there are in the process if a case goes all the way through a trial). Attorneys in a place like Ulysses charge roughly $200 (or more), so you can imaging that the bill will add up quickly for a client. (As a note, plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits often don't pay hourly. Rather, they give the law firm a percentage of the winnings if the plaintiff wins either a settlement or at trial.  Commonly, that percentage is around 1/3 of the money won.)

Is it a problem that paying for professional legal help is so expensive? Is the system designed to favor wealthy people and corporations over others? What could be done to make the system more affordable for the average person?  Please explain your reasoning incorporating the material we are studying this week. (200 words)

As per the current legal system it is very correct to say that legal help is one of the most expensive service that exists in a developed or a developing countries and with such a high cost of hiring a legal firm or for an instance a lawyer makes it a problem for normal citizens to ask for any professional legal help.

Initially the system was not designed as such that it looks like it is biased towards the wealth people or towards the rich organisations but then it’s the legal firms and lawyers who have their expertise in this field and know that they are above par when it comes to manipulating words and these qualities of the legal firms and lawyers made our legal system a bit inclined towards the rich and wealthy.
