Similarities
1. Archaea and bacteria are both prokaryotes which means both of them do not have a nucleus and they lack membrane-bound organelles.
2.Both of them are tiny, single-cell organisms and cannot be seen by the naked human eye.
3.When we look at those organisms through a microscope, we find that boh of them resemble each other in their shapes and sizes. They exist as rods, cones, plates, and also as coils
4.Both have flagella, thread-like structures that allows them to move by propelling the organisms through their environment.
Differences
1.Each of them have completely different genes encoding them and they are comprised of various proteins.
2.Genome sequencing of the archaea also reveals us that they resembles the eukaryotes more than the bacteria
3.The composition of their cell wall is different from each other
4.Cell division in archaea undergoes distinct processes which is not found in the bacteria.
5., Bacteria can form spores that normally lie dormant for many years, until a good and proper habitat is found in which they can grow and survive whereas archaea cant do that.
