What is gas?
The matter which moves freely and if pour in a container takes a shape and space available is known as gas. The particles in the gas are free moving they are not bound to each other by bond or physical force which makes the expansion of gas very easy.The distance between particles in gas is high so most of the time gases are not visible but they can be identified with smell. The ravity doesn't act on gases as the concentration and mass of them is very less.
The atmosphere layer above the ground is made up of gases in the geosphere.
The atmosphere is mostly powered sun as it is very high above the round and the geothermal energy doesn't reach up there.
The atmosphere can further be divided into stratosphere, troposphere, ozone layer based on the composition of the layer.
What is liquid?
The matter which has ability to take up shape and space like gases but the molecules are bound together which gives most of the materials a visible form are known as liquids. The particles in liquid are closer to each other and in many cases are bound to each other by covalent or ionic bonds. The gravity does act on liquids and they don't have certain shape so they are always needed to be kept in a closed space.
The inner core of earth is made up of liquid. The high temperature as melt the rock and the magma is a liquid which is in the inner layer.
What is solid ?
The matter which have specific shape and the molecules of which are tightly packed which give them a specific structure is known as solid. Solid can be kept in open as they have specific shape. The inter-molecular space is very less which makes solids more dense than liquids and gases.Solids are affected by gravity and the center of mass and many other concepts are applied on solids as they can retain the shape. The Atlantic and Antarctic iceberg are the big known examples.
The mantle and crust is made up of solids. This layer is powered up by the geothermal as well as the Sun's energy. The iceberg are also solids are they are the big part of earth crust.
The hills, mountains, plain lands are the example of earth crust.
The surface of earth is a part where solid, liquid and gas are found. There are all the states of matter found as per the climate conditions water in liquid and solid, most of the atmospheric gases such as nitrogen, oxygen etc. and soil.
