Question 1 Define poverty and explain two or more of its causes. Referring to Figure 14.2, p.309 of textbook, why did poverty rates first fell, then stagnated, and finally increased in recent year? Answer a :Meaning of poverty :
Poverty is a situation where human being are unable to meet the basic need for making the life successful. It consists of lack of food, clothing, housing and other essential for running a life properly and smoothly.
Causes of Poverty :
(b) : As figure shows that poverty from 1960 to 1980 has been tremoundusly reduced at greater phase in an economy. Poverty rate fall in 1960with the help of various facialities announced by the fed government such as mediaid , medicareand greater federal housing spending and other supplementary programmes to fight with the war.
From 1960 to 1980, the cyclical unemployment has been removed from the economy and now people enjoy the boom period so the poverty rate has been declined from an economy. But when the economy is in boom period it has been off the poverty and than start rising again. As a result medicare and mediaid has been helped in providing proper health care.
Answer (c) : Poverty trap is a system where there is enough amount of money earned enough to escape poverty from an economy. As poverty trap shows that when the individual gain maximum when they worked maximum and have zero hours of leisure. When they want to earn more than required it can be easily set off the person who are earning below minimum . It means that overall poverty has been removed from this scanerio or time period being.

These programes help in reducing poverty from the well being society because they considered that poverty during childhood is more and chronic. It lead to adult poverty than they start working on the school nurtition programmes given to the children so they can exceed in there achivement . Various training interventions has been introduced so that it enable people to succeed in the work force.
As per poor people the best policy is " Supplementary poverty measures " programes such as it basically help the people who are exactly in the problem and solve its systematically.
According to me best policy " Supplementary school education programes" Should introduced so that our future generation should be best in there academic achivement.
