Explanation / Answer

Wars, disease and famine leads to economic and technological advances and inspire competition and revival of interest in culture as, at these tough times, when there is nothing to eat people tend to make the most use everything they have. They try to use every piece of resources which could be used. This optimal utilisation of everything brings out various perspective in which it could be used. Hence, new technology comes out.

For example, use of telegraph, hot air baloon, penicillin, Ultrasound, mass radio, plastic surgeries, airliners , the jet engine, nuclear engine, pressurised cabin, radio navigation,the first computer, the V-2, etc were all results of wars, or tough times at the respective places.

When the famine, war disease struck europe in 1300 and 1500 they found out that there are was prone to lack of food and they need to adopt something else as there occupation in order to collect enough amount of food to survive such hard times. Hence, they started trading and for that they developed navigation technology, communication technology, transportation technology etc. When they started travelling they found that there were many places which were better to live and had abundance of resources, sufficient enough to satisfy the needs of there people, therefore, they started conquering everything and at last almost conquered the whole world.
