positive benefits of managed healthcare from the patient's point of view:

negative aspects :
(1) the patients might not be able to see his health provider easily if he works outside his coverage area. this creates problems when there is an emergency. the patient will have to wait till the health provider is back in his coverage area.
positive benefits from provider's poitn of view:
(1) the physician is paid a fixed salary regardless of how many patients he attends. so even if he attends very few patients, he will be paid a fixed amount.

negative aspects:
sometimes the physician is paid according to his performance. if his performance is not good he will be paid less.
physicians cannot take fee from the patients as they are paid monthly salaries. this reduces the scope of earnings. because even if they see hundreds of patients everyday they will still be pad a fixed amount of money.
health providers are paid in many different types, for example they can be paid a fixed salary or they can be paid on the performance basis and even according to their expertese.
providing fixed salaries to he physician can sometimes prove to be a bad idea as they will become irresponsible and will not attend the patients properly because they know they still will be provided with their salaries
the most efficient option is to pay them according to their performance. this would encourage them to work hard.
