Food waste in US is not percieved seriously as lot of food is stored in land incinerators as waste. There is no lot of education given about the awareness of raw foods available in market.

In South Korea, people perceive the food and food waste and taking innovative steps to curb the food waste.

Its because of the consciousness about saving money and if food is wasted then people are getting charged for their waste. There are traditional market in south korea to buy in a bulk so that they can save money.

It can implemented because in a high populated area in seoul, they can able to implement and achieve the volume garbage method to curb the food waste.
