No of mol of HA = 20*0.5 = 10 mmol

No of mol of NaA = 20*1 = 20 mmol

pka = -logka = -log(1.8*10^-5) = 4.74

pH = 4.74+log(20/10) = 5

q.3) HgCl2, ksp = 1.2*10^-18

ksp = s*(2s)2

ksp = 4s^3 = 1.2*10^-18

s = solubility of HgCl2 = 6.7*10^-7 M

s = solubility of HgCl2 in g/ml = (6.7*10^-7)*271.5 = 1.82*10^-4 g/ml

from the above data, 100 g HgCl2 does not soluble in 500 ml solvent.
