Explanation / Answer

ans 1) A shield volcano are built from fluid lava flows. They got their names from the similarity of their look with warriors shield lying on ground. The highly fluid lava coming out travels very fast and gets a longer distance, this results in accumulation of broad sheets of lava building up the shape of these type of volcanoes.

ans 2) These are the simplest for of volcanoes built from piles of lava ( called as cinders) blown into the air from the opening of the volcano, which gets broken into small fragments and gets accumulated near the opening. The pile forms an oval shape small volcano which are called cinder cone volcanoes.

ans 3) Shield volcano is more or less flat in shape and does not have high peaks where as cinder cone volcano have hign peaks which are formed by multiple piles of lava.

ans 4) composite volcano are also called as stratovolcano, these are build up from many layers of hardened lava. The characteristics are steep profile and periodic explotions. The name composite is because of their omposite layered structure.
