Hello, For this discussion please refer to the assigned readings from Chapter 2 to answer to question below. You could also use other sources from the chapter if you would like. The West is settlement best understood as a uniquely American story of and groups or is it best understood as a global process in which trade immigration, and law integrated lightly populated landscapes on global scale? Was the West truly a place American democrat and free? Did freedom have different meaning for different people?

Explanation / Answer

The western part of America consists of diverse group of people following different cultures and religions. They follow different beliefs and have interest on different subjects. Long long ago,western part was not fully freed from the hands of government people. Later after many movements and riots,the people were freed and were allowed to follow their own religion,caste,worship their own god etc.

Freedom is allowing people to take part in ciuntry afairs by electing their leader etc. Western part was made democratic.
