Explanation / Answer

The second reaction produces two moles of products, so we have to divide this by 2 to get one mole of product.

So,

Enthalpy change for first reaction = 113 kJ

Enthalpy change for second reaction = -775/2 = -387.5 kJ

So,

Net enthalpy change = 113-387.5 = -274.5 kJ
