11.a)Hydroelectric and nuclear power plants are present in Tennessee.
b)Nuclear plants are located far of from residencial areas whereas hydroelectric plants are located near dams.
c)Natural gas power plants are located at many places and these mainly require natural gas which are supplied through pipes underground.
12.a)The electricity produced by these plants are transmitted through larger distances to provide electricity to public amd are done through transmission lines.
b)Most of the petroleum amd natural gas is available underground which can be used by laying pipes and are used for.energy production.
Part-D
a)In case of earthquake,there would be a jerk or shake in the power plants and the long term effect is that transmission lines would be cut down due to heavy shake and the short term effect is that electricity would be affected.
b)If electricity is not available for a long period of time,our normal lifestyle would be affected and we will not be able to do the regular activities properly. If it is summer season,without fan or ac it would be very much difficult.
c)Due to insufficient power,our day to day life will be very much affected. We cannot get proper supply of water as the current is not present and all our activities get missed and we cannot reach our destiny at proper time.
d)These have greater effects on public institutions,hospitaks etc and the patients in the hospital cannot be treated properly. They could not proper diagnosis at the right time and in case of schools,all have turned up to be smart classes and the students might not get proper notes or study material.
e)Therefore in case of strong earthquake,before the occurence of earthquake,there might be some indications like tsunami etc. At that time the government may take some rescue action to move people from that area to another area to avoid clash with nature.
