Explanation / Answer

ENTROPHY means randomness of a system.with the increase of randomness entrophy of a sysytem increases.

in solid state molecules or atoms of a compound are arranged in a systematic order and close to each other so in this state entrophy of the system is very low or almost equal to zero.

when solid melts to liquid by increasing temperature or decreasing pressure then inermolecular forces between molecules or interatomic forces between atoms of a system decreases and departs from each other to some extent so randomness increases that is entrophy increases. because due to less atractions in liquid state as compared to solid state molecules or atoms move freely which causes randomness.

when liquid boils to gas by increasing temperature or by decreasing pressure randomness increases due to free movement of gaseous species .,randomness is more in gaseous state than in liquid state.so in gaseous state entrophy is high.

increasing pressure results in compression of gas or liquification of gas which causes decrease in entrophy

decreasing pressure results in expansion of gas which causes increase in entrophy

increase in temperature results in expansion of gas or boiling of liquid or melting of solid which causes increase in entrophy

decrease in temperature results in compression of gas or solidification of liquid causes decrease in entrophy .

now let us observe entrophy changes in given cases,

a) argon changes from liquid state to gaseous state in which case entrophy increases.

b)bromine changes from liquid state to gaseous state in this case also entrophy increases.

c)H2O IN both sides appears as gas that is water vapour but pressure is increased from left to right side which causes compression of water vapour and decreases randomness .so in this case entrophy decreases.
