Jimmy lives in Carlton, Glasgow. Carlton has been described as a place of prostitutes, alcoholics and ‘druggies’, with little green space. Jimmy grew up in a single parent home but his mother had a constant stream of live-in boyfriends, some of whom physically or sexually assaulted Jimmy. Jimmy never knew his father. There was very little money at times, so Jimmy did not always have enough to eat. He and his mother moved house about every eighteen months. Jimmy’s mother experienced numerous episodes of alcohol and mental health related issues, occasionally leading to institutionalisation; in these instances, Jimmy stayed with his grandmother who ran a brothel. By the time Jimmy entered school, he already had behavioural problems and difficulty concentrating and was subject to outbreaks of aggression towards other children and teachers. As such, Jimmy was always in trouble at school, and delinquency problems led to trouble with the police as a teenager. Jimmy was enrolled in an apprenticeship but dropped out; he has never had a ‘proper’ job, but had short-term temporary manual work. As with his subculture, any money Jimmy gets goes into drink and drugs; his diet consists of pub food, fast food and alcohol. Jimmy has had a series of short-term girlfriends, but there is a question of alcohol-fuelled violent behaviour. He is known to the police for his various gang-related violent activities. (Jimmy’s story has been adapted from that in Marmot 2015).

Jimmy is a boy who was addicted or adopted to the atmosphere that surrounded him.Jimmy from his childhood onwards he grown in that area which was fully alcoholism and druggies.While he was child his mother too was an alcoholic and druggie.No one is there to take care of him and teach him good or bad.He doesn't know his father and when he was child he might have addicted to his mother's behavior because he also maintaining girlfriends.

When he was teenager he met with police for doing crime activities.If Jimmy was grown up in the good area he might have grown up as a gentleman.The community around him had made him in this way.So though he went to other place he didn't changed and there he acted as the man grew in this druggie area.Identity to protect factor is mainly taking health psycology classes to him in order to change his behavior and habits in order to save his health.He don't know that this type of behavior or drugs cause health diseases.

If they teach him he might have change.but it takes much time to change as he was adopted to the community from his childhood.Medicines to his mental conditions and frequent psychology classes are the main protective factors for his health.
