Which of the following is true? Authors in the natural law tradition think that morality is grounded on the struggle for domination in a world govemed by the law of the jungle. Utilitarianism tells you that in some situations it would be morally acceptable to kill lots of other people in order to save one member of your own family. John Locke believes that in the state of nature we do not have the right to punish criminals or defend ourselves since all men are created equal and have an equal right to all things. Kant thought that love and emotion provide the best guide for ethics.Explanation / Answer
Which of the following is true?
Answer: KANT thought that love and emotion provide the best guide for ethics.
My explanation for this point would be: The famous German philosopher IMMANUEL KANT argued that one should always respect the humanity in others and believed that love and emotion are very important and they are best guide for ones ethics. He also faced criticism for this point of love and emotion by British philosopher BERNARD WILLIAMS. He stated that we can act morally and philosophy can only do little to determine about our views of ethics. He doesn't agree with Kant and criticized KANTIAN ETHICS.
