Most proposals to reduce the impact of climate change focus on reducing emission of greenhouse gases, by (1) developing clean energy sources, (2) reducing energy use by conservation, or (3) removing CO_2 before or after combustion (CCS). Some have suggested that societies simply learn to live with climate change (adaptation). For now, let us assume that reducing emissions of greenhouse gases becomes a top global priority. After researching this issue, rank the list of options described above in order of decreasing practicality and effectiveness in mitigating climate change. If you find other options, feel free to include them as well. CLIMATE CHANGE: Climate change is defined as the shift in weather patterns including temperatures. People in every country, every continent are experiencing severe impacts of climate change including weather patterns, rising sea level, extreme temperatures.
The greenhouse Gases emission due to human activities are even more increasing climate change significantly. As the levels of greenhouse Gases increases more and more heat is produced in earth's atmosphere. so we should try to reduce the amount of heat trapping emissions that we are putting in atmosphere.
Some of the best ways to reduce emission of greenhouse Gases are:
1. First important thing is to mention the exact limits of carbon emission from individuals or industries which they are allowed to and should take measures to reduce that in upcoming years.
2. More and more use of RENEWABLE ENERGY and should completely try to give up the methods depending on COAL and FOSSIL FUELS.
3. AIR CONDITIONING: Usage of air-conditioning is becoming must in almost everywhere. Whether it is work place or home doesn't matter. America and China are top in the list of using air-conditioning. By using air-conditioning regularly so much of carbon dioxide is released and thus by using alternate methods like insulation, painting roof with white paint can be able to reduce the energy Usage as well as control the emission of carbon dioxide in atmosphere.
4. PLANT TREES: Cutting down trees should be stopped and more trees are to be planted as they absorb harmful carbon dioxide and release oxygen essential for humans.
5. VEHICLES: Manufacturing companies of vehicles should concentrate more on reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles. And also less usage of vehicles which means walking to office or cycling helps in reduction of emission and also becomes exercise. So less usage of vehicles must be practiced.
Apart from these above mentioned options there are also other few options like...
Reducing the usage of electricity and save energy: Don't use lights during daytime and switch off every electronic gadget when not being used. For example switching off TV and computer before leaving home.
Stop using of plastic in any form like carry bags, bottles as they are harmful for environment and can also contaminate the food we are taking.
These are some of the major proposals and options to reduce the climate change also helps in reducing the emission of greenhouse gases in atmosphere.
