Write down your answers in the following tabular form. Otherwise, you will not get any score if your answer on other spaces outside the form (4% for each question) Enthalpy. H. define as H = E + PV is a state function which means the deference or change of H is only deepened on its final and initial states. PV is defined as work. W. Please choosing the right answer from following: E is a state function. (B) P and V both are not state function. P and V are not state function but W is a state function. (D) W is not a state function. P and V both are state function, and W is a state function. The change of internal energy of system, delta = q + w, Please choosing the right answer from following: q and w are both state function. q and w both arc not stale function, but q + w is a state function. q is not but w is a state function. w is not but q is a state function. q and w both are not state function, so q + w will also not state function. A steel bomb calorimeter weights 500 grams (the heat Capacity 9.542 kJ/K), the out cover made by glass and weights 120 gram (the heat capacity 12.601 kJ/K). This bomb was filled with 200 mL of water. A 1.25 grams sample consists of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen, which was completely combusted and the temperature of this calorimeter increased from 25 degree C to 28.013 degree C. If the heat of combustion of this sample is -3226 kJ/mol. What is the molecular formula for this sample? C_6H_8O_3 C_7H_8O_2 C_7H_)6O_2 C_6 H_12O_6 C_7H_13O Which of the following statements should be correct? For a reaction in a sealed and rigid container, delta H is always greater than delta E. The only way in which the system can do work on the surroundings is by expansion against the external pressure. The system need not to do work on the surroundings when an ideal gas expands against a constant external pressure. The internal energy of a system decreases when work is done on the system and heat is flowing into the system. The internal energy of a system increases when more work is done by the system than heat is flowing into the system.

Explanation / Answer

1. answer is A and D

Because E internal energy is state function it depends on the intial and final states of the system only.

W is a path function work depends on only path doesnot depend on states so it is not state function.

2. Answer is B

Because q heat is path fuction depends on system path only and work W also but when summing up both we would get internal energy DE =E2-E1 which means only two states final and intial states are matters so answer is q+w is state function.

As per chegg rules i should answer only one question so can you please post remaining questions separately.
