Br2(g) + OCl2(g) ------> BrOCl(g) + BrCl(g)

Equilibrium constant = 0.0040

(i) There will be very little BrOCl and BrCl

This is because equilibrium constant is very small so only reactants are higher in concentration at equilibrium.

(ii) BrOCl(g) + BrCl(g) ----> Br2(g) + OCl2(g)

K=(1/0.0040) = 250

Reversing the reaction will change the equilibrium constant as reciprocal of initial equilibrium constant.

(iii) 2Br2(g) + 2OCl2(g) ------> 2BrOCl(g) + 2BrCl(g)

K=(0.0040)2 = 1.6*10-5
