1.A. , are receiving chemotherapy or have recently had an organ transplant, a previous toxoplasma infection may reactivate.Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by a parasite. This parasite, called Toxoplasmagondii, can be found in cat feces .

2.b.The diagnosis of T. gondii infection or toxoplasmosis may be established byserologic tests, amplification of specific nucleic acid sequences (i.e., polymerase chain reaction [PCR]), histologic demonstration of the parasite and/or its antigens (i.e., immunoperoxidase stain), or by isolation of the organism.

4.b. If high titers of the IgM type of antibody are found, it means the infection is recent. If high titers of the IgG type of antibody are present, it means an infection occurred in the past.

3.c.The patients immunosuprressed state because of chemotherapy may cause false negative results.
