Question
For the solutions listed below, write a chemical equation representing the dissociation behavior of each compound in water solution IF the light bulb turned on. If the light bulb did not turn on, e g if no dissociation occurs, write NR for No Reaction. Include charges on ions. Table III ICI (aq) H+(aq) + Cl-(aq) Hydrochloric acid Distilled water Glucose Sodium chloride H SO -2 PART III In the second fume hood there are four NaClag solutions set up for you. Lower the electrodes n the second fume hood there are four NaClod) solutions set up for you. Lower the electrodes to the solutions and record your observations by circling the type of electrolyte each solution demonstrates. strong electrolyte weak electrolyte non-electrolyte weak electrolyte non-electrolyte strong electrolyte weak electrolyte non-electrolyte strong electrolyte weak electrolyte (non-electrolyte Concentrated NaCl() s Slightly dilute NaC strong electrolyte More dilute NaCl() Very dilute NaCl oExplanation / Answer
NaCl at very and weak dilute concentration acts as a weak electrolyte
Hyponatermia means a low concentration of sodium in blood.
According to all the articles every person died due to water intoxication, taking a huge amount of water without added minerals and salts that means dilution.
The amount of NaCl present in the blood is being diluted by the addition of extra water so the concentration of salt gradually decreases as the amount of intake water increases which doesn't contain electrolytes.
Conductivity is directly proportional to the concentration of Na+ ions it gradually decreases due to dilution
As conductivity decreases the solution becomes a weak electrolyte and stops conducting.
Na+ ions are mainly useful for transfer processes from one membrane the another and from one cell to another in the body they act like carriers.
If there conc. decreases then the transfer process is no longer proceeded.
If that happens there won't communication between cells then it starts effecting the brain first and kidneys, liver and heart.
Kidney does all the work to give signals to the brain about the bladder capacity. And the absence of the ions makes the nephrons in kidney cells unable to work then it stops giving the signal eventually kidney starts to swell due to intake of huge amounts of water. As the bladder doesn't respond evey part like heart where the blood flow is controlled gets swollen.
That's why Ms. Strange's kidney and heart were swollen as in atopsy report
